Lumen Obscura celebrates theatrical bellydance and performance art in all its forms. It was born from the vision of area artists, Deidre Anaid and Doreet Didi whom had the desire to support and encouarage dancers of all levels and recognition. Belly Dancing with Mariama and Friends: Fundraiser for the YMCA Let's shake in the New Year! Deamer will be ready to feed your soul while the dancers mesmerize you. Bring a friend and join us for dinner, the performance and dancing after. The house will be full so you might want to take Mariama's advice and get a seat and order by 6 PM (and save room for the bread pudding). This month will be a fund raiser for the YMCA. Paloma hosts a showcase of Middle Eastern dance by local dancers from novice to professional levels at the Bean Scene, a warm and inviting coffee house in downtown Sunnyvale. They offer wonderful specialty drinks, great sandwiches, crisp salads, yummy pastries and let’s not forget gelato for dessert! There is no cover charge for this event however we do ask that you do patronize our host and support our performers. Be sure to arrive early to get your favorite indoor or outdoor seat! |

Halanda Anniversary Gala Halanda Studio is approaching its 5th Anniversary, and we plan to celebrate with an evening Gala show on May 6 (Friday)! We will be featuring instructors and students of Halanda The show will start at 7pm. We will also be having a guest performer, Helene Eriksen, who is teaching dance workshops in the area that weekend (and at Halanda on Sunday).
